He must be on lane watch as well

Ouch UF from 3rd in the lane race to having a guy decide between you and Tulane

Sounds like Florida. I know Wednesday local Birmingham sports talk started pushing the idea of Auburn promoting Durkin.

The OM 247 site reported this morning that Jon has spoken the Lane at least once this week trying to get an idea on whether the OM job will be open

Did LSU ever consider or interview Sumrall? I'm curious

Or LSU. Because neither want him.

Sounds like he’s going to be watching the lane decision like the rest of us.

Or Thamel knows it’s OM, but isn’t letting the cat out of the bag. He said his opportunities include Florida or Auburn. He didn’t limit it to them.

Or LSU...

It's all just a guessing game at this point

Pete Nakos of On3 said

Jon Sumrall could be in play at Ole Miss or LSU, depending on Lane Kiffin's decision.

Also if Auburn make Durkin the head coach.

The timing of the sumrall announcement and failure to mention ole Miss seem intentional to me.

He’s waiting until Sunday because lane is announcing his decision either way Saturday.

According to the Ole Miss info insiders, he didn’t like Auburn pushing him to keep Durkin as DC if he took the job.

It’s possible, but there’s been no mention of LSU in connection with Sumrall recently. I would be impressed if LSU kept all that under wraps.

That’s a crappy consolation prize, lol

Obviously y'all know LSU far better than I do - but it seems like a lot of the decision makers don't want to pull a HC fom Tulane. Not sure if that's just "beneath" LSU, or it's political, but from the outside looking in that's what it seems like.

That is silly of Auburn if true.

LSU would feel like it’s beneath them.

Impressed about keeping it a secret I’m sure, not impressed with interviewing Sumrall.
