Sexton has single handedly ruined a whole lot of goodness in college football.Glad he got rich, but he did a lot if irreparable damage to the sport.

Only 2 of t hose schools think they are in the running. The 3rd one is out and already knows it.
This isn't a high school recruit. Sexton is good at his job but we are way passed the "bid everybody agains each other and get the best price" stage. We are also past the "which one of these schools do you want to coach at" stage. Kiffin has already picked. The only thing left is getting thru this game and all the emotional baggage.
The 3rd school...UF or LSU...whichever one you think it is...KNOWS THAT THEY ARE OUT.
Sexton did not get where he is as an agent by playing stupid games with teams. He would burn bridges across the entire landscape of college football. He has to be trusted by coaches but ALSO BY SCHOOLS.
A lot of you have seen way too many recruiting battles where a 18 yr old kid makes 3 schools think he is coming there until he picks a hat to stroke his ego on television and revel in "the moment".
THAT...isnt THIS.

Sexton is just doing his job, getting the best deal possible for his clients. Probably 75 % of the stuff you read on here makes Sexton look like Gandolf the Great. It's great for him that he has this image, but it's a myth.

I agree with the opinion some talking head was giving this morning… that participation in this charade is below LSU and Florida or he thought was… he mentioned Ohio State, Alabama, hell even Penn State wouldn’t entertain this type of foolishness from Lane… this starts with our governor being an idiot to our BOS handling of the BK situation with the buyout… we have carried ourselves like a second rate institution in this situation

But the media in fact has made THIS like THAT of a HS recruit. Blame them but yes people on the rang should be smarter than to fall for the typical media antics. It’s the rant though so can’t expect much. Lol

Honestly, it makes sense for him to push Lane towards the LSU job. By doing that, it opens up another coaching slot (OM) to fill. Now he can slide one of his up and coming guys into a pretty solid gig with a nice pay raise. If that guy is successful, he's able to put him into the conversation when bigger and better gigs pop up.. If he just fills the LSU slot and leaves Lane at OM, he doesn't have the opening to advance his other clients up the ladder.

Why? His craft is not that hard to be good at.
He has all of the major coaches and friends in media to post rumors of them leaving or other interest.

Sexton is a slime ball and likes to play too many games and doesn’t know when to quit. Sexton makes practically every coach affiliated with him impossible to hire. Seems like everytime LSU is in involved with a coach that has Sexton as an agent it never turns out good for LSU.
