Is it crazy to think that might be the case? If Kiffin was staying at Ole Miss, I don’t think he would’ve put them through these last few weeks. He would’ve signed, fired up the players, fans, and program, and they steamroll today and into the playoffs. I think he’s likely gone, but in this scenario, he’s off to Florida or somewhere else not named LSU.

If it is CNS, he had a desire to come back, finish what he started, hopefully get a title, and bookend his career. Likely on a four-year deal, and sets up the handoff to the next guy.

Again, in this scenario, all parties involved, outside of Ole Miss, have willingly allowed for a massive smoke screen to flourish for weeks.

Saban was in his office at Bryant-Denny Wednesday and celebrated Thanksgiving on Lake Tuscaloosa yesterday.

Lol the obsession by some LSU fans with Saban is borderline psychotic

Nick Saban auto group just bought a few more dealerships for $151 million. He isn’t coming back to coach. Sure does he miss it but sounds like he is happy.

And the fact that Alabama fans are nuts deep in lsu boards are not? You guys eat, sleep and live LSU football. Just say you’re a closet fan of the tigers.

I can tell you how many times I’ve been on a bama message board, zero

Yea, Nick did his McAfee interview from his office in BDS on wed afternoon and when McAfee asked him what he was doing he I’m still working. He then hosted Thanksgiving from his Tuscaloosa home. Dude is happy, loves Tuscaloosa and is free from the rigors of coaching.

If it was Saban we would have announced him weeks ago. He's just helping with the search

Ok, so after 18 years you still don't understand so I'll explain it.

Go back to Jan 2007 when Nick took the Bama job. We were happy, got a great coach but we started hearing about the nuclear meltdown going on in Baton Rouge. It's like mass hysteria. Ok, so we're all in for some entertainment but where do you go? Ah, message boards. There were marches, burnings of effigys and the hatred that was really at Nick was focused at Bama for whatever reason. The Bama LSU game which forever had just been another SEC tilt became life or death for LSU fans. CBS, to their credit picked up on this, built it up like the Super Bowl every year and made billions and good for them. Honestly, it was fun. To be hated to that degree and TS to be off the charts like it would be for that game made it fun. Walking out of BDS this year was like, yea, ok, whatever who cares.

So for the next 18 years we have found message boards, talk radio to get our entertainment because it can be March and 104.5 or some yahoo YouTuber is talking about Bama. In MARCH. Matt Moscona doesnt do a show without bringing up Bama and it's awesome. I hope he never stops
He guests on a show here in B'ham during football season and it is gold. The hosts will play back his clips and it is hilarious. People will call in for hours requesting to play this back and that back. Again, hope he never stops.. Maybe his best was dressing up like an Indian after the FSU loss. A guy who has no ties to FSU or a Bama rival dressing up like an Indian was awesome.

Now Nick retires is very happy but we KNEW because according to LSU fans he has an undying infatuation with LSU and he lays awake at night missing the place that this would eventually roll around to him again. Not for LSU to get the best coach but this would finally even the score with Bama if he returned. So we are enjoying this.;

At the end of the day this is fun and nothing personal. LSU fans are unique to say the least but you are what makes being a Bama fan even funner.

Man I was not aware of how many bama fans lurk this board. This thread got them out like moths to flame.

I’m not calling any shots here or anything, but this day in age I don’t how anyone could be surprised by anything. Full stop. Folks don’t really even think the increasing possibility of literal space aliens dropping by is a shocking thing these days.

Is this not coaching changes? Are there not information about all coaching openings? I believe it's pinned at the top? Weird for an LSU board.

It's weird. I've never been on a bama board or forum in my life.
