Are you an adult? You can start drinking anytime you see fit.

I would say a 12 hour lead time is customary to,get good and liquored up. Your gonna want to be damn near comatose when the MIL starts bitching about you to your wife, It’s the only way to save Thanksgiving for everyone else so take one for,the team.

The problem with that, for me, is that as soon as I stop.. I get really tired. So I have to be in for the long haul and those hangovers punch harder the older you get.

Pacing, my friend... it's all in the pacing.
I'm not one for hangovers, I avoid them as best I can.
Prime example... I started drinking at 7est, it's 1120est... on beer #5.... pacing. Not drunk, just a very mild buzz carefully nursed and I'm about to turn in... I'll wake up by. 7am, guzzle a good bit of water and be good to go.

I find Pedialyte is the best for hangovers.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. My in laws was/is great. Unfortunately lost my Mil 20 years ago. She was a great person. FIL still living life to the fullest.

Never tried it... for a serious hangover I go for puking, water, caffeine, aspirin and greasy food... do those things, nap, wake up fresh.
