Five local rabbis are among the more than 400 New Yorkers tapped for New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s transition committees, the teams tasked with preparing his administration ahead of his Jan. 1 swearing-in.

They include Abby Stein, who appeared in “Jews for Zohran” campaigns and shares the mayor-elect’s anti-Zionist outlook, on the health committee; Ellen Lippman, who recently retired from Kolot Chayeinu, the Brooklyn congregation where Mamdani attended Rosh Hashanah services, on the social services committee; and Rachel Timoner, whose Park Slope synagogue Congregation Beth Elohim hosted Mamdani for a meeting with congregants, and Jason Klein, who helms the LGBTQ synagogue Congregation Beth Simchat Torah, on the immigrant justice committee.

These people must be as extreme left as the incoming muzzie. And a 400-member transitional committees team?!?! How do you spell chaos again?

These so-called 'Jews' have no one but themselves to blame for anti-semitism and fraternizing with the evil one.

Interesting dynamic.

Perhaps's Mamdani's vibrant, shrouded background offers a clues as to why this should be?

Do you have info on the previous NYC mayor transition teams to compare this to?

It’s like the Jewish collaborators in the Nazi ghettos and concentration camps.

I've never been anti or pro Jewish, really don't care in general. Being from NOLA it's not like NYC or LA where they are everywhere and make up a larger part of society. That being said, how can you trust these people at all? they hate themselves, vote against themselves, ally with people who now are ideologically opposite of themselves.

It think it's time to take a hard look at separating all this Jewish power over this country. it seems very counter productive. Not sure it can be done, doesn't seem to be any political stomach to do so.

These are progressive rabbis.

The Christians have their equivalent.

He received a higher % of the Protestant vote than the Jewish vote in NY.

I read Leviticus.

I don’t see how this is even possible.

Do they not read the Torah at all?

I suppose they ignore the inconvenient parts. Or 'rewrite' them to 'keep up with the times.' Who knows!?!?

What’s crazy is these people are also pro Palestine. They support people that do stone the gays.

Good!
Maybe the guy has figured out different points of view?
I doubt it.

Far more likely he's trying to build a lasting majority consensus

No, these are crazy liberal Jews.

The Christians have this same problem though.

And with women preachers and pastors.

I’m not saying she is right, but one of the rabbis on his team is the rabbi of that progressive synagogue.
