Has one of these "revival" (aka money grab) tv series ever been any good? Arrested Development was an abomination. Roseanne didn't even have Roseanne. King of the Hill just looks odd and different. Brooklyn 99? Nope.

Is it really a revival when a show simply switches networks between seasons?

I tried to watch Scrubs a while back and I couldn't get through the original. Not sure why I'd be excited for a revival of it.

My wife was pumping it up, and neither of us laughed through like half the first season. Maybe the jokes were funnier when it first came out, but they just weren't landing. I asked her if it just got funnier after the first season like Parks and Rec or The Office, because I was willing to stick it out if so.

Is there a point where this show hits its stride like that?

It's not as a big of a jump as say a parks and rec, but season 2 definitely picks up the pace, but its one of my favorite shows of all time.

It's a Bill Lawrence show so if the shows below dont float your boat then scrubs might not be for you.

Spin City
Cougar Town
Ted Lasso
Shrinking
Bad Monkey

One of my favorite shows for its time. I used to binge watch this like a crack addict.

But seeing them all like this, band back together, in the exact same setting...just feels wrong. Scrubs had a progression, the dance through life and career, from 'My First Day' , 'My Mentor', and so on, that just feels undercut with them all ending up at Sacred Heart (I'm assuming) or wherever.

Umm yes. King of the hill is universally praised by critics and fans.

I liked Spin City. Haven't seen the rest.

I don’t care how stupid this show is. I’m in.

You must not have watched it. The revival was great. I was sad when the season ended after only 8 or 10 episodes.

The rest I agree with.

I loved Scrubs as much as the next guy. I originally hated the Interns but after watching it a few times it has grown on me.

Having said that, I am shocked they are bringing it back. If you want proof that Hollywood and the entertainment industry have no new ideas, this is it.

How many times was Scrubs bounced around the day and time schedule. How many times was it on the cusp of being cancelled and yet they are bringing it back. I get nostalgia but nostalgia for a group of people barely able to give enough ratings to keep the original on air.

And I loved the show. I hated gay Turk and JD from The interns. In case you forgot, Turk said it was unfair Elliot got to see JD naked. JD was the worst part of the interns followed by the security guys.

Just a bit shocked they would bring back a mid-level tv show. And by mid level I mean the ratings success. Calm down CP3.

Turk has not aged and what about the janitor?

Much the same. Turk & JD’s bromance was well done and I enjoyed it - mostly. At times they got a bit too weird.

Dr. Cox has noticeably aged the most imo. The main 3 look great, with Turk looking almost the same.

And this is a sad money grab, no doubt. I enjoyed the podcast Donald & Zach had, even watched Garden State mainly because Zach directed it, but career wise, i just haven’t seen most of them nearly as prominent as they were with Scrubs.

Faded glory is how this feels

well idk about that. When S4 first dropped and it was done with each episode being about one person, it was kind of an overly-complicated mess. then they scrapped that and reorganized it into just a "normal" episode structure called Season 4 Remix and upon rewatch it was much, much more enjoyable. Season 5 wasn't an all-timer like 1 and 2 but still pretty enjoyable, IMO, if you're a fan of the show.

Sure a dip in quality, which was to be expected, but "abomination"? Idk man.
