OU still talks about 2004 as it was their own personal 9/11

I never understand how they bring that up as we’re the worst fanbase that ever existed.
We’ve played two games against them since then where I’m sure it’s been more than cordial.
Anyways frick em. Hope we piss in their Cheerios. We have nothing to lose and they’re one win away from the playoff. Make it a slugfest and a kicking contest and hope for some breaks

They were 900% sure they were going to win easily. They were unbelievably cocky. It hurt, not because LSU were bad sports, but because it was a long way down from their expectations to the reality the Tigers dished out that night.

To be fair LSU does have a ton of drunk trashy assholes in its fanbase. Are all fans that bad, absolutely not, but there are quite a few that are.

I was called a f***ot at least 10 times by grown men and the “tiger bait” jeers were honestly the most annoying. My dad barely had enough money to get us 2 tickets in the upper deck. We got our arse beat on the field and our tires were slashed when we got back to the car and that was the day I found out I hated LSU more than texass.
I don’t believe any grown men called a 13 year old kid that. Nor do I believe an LSU fan slashed those tires.

I was 13 years old for the first loss … I put that hat on and wore it proudly. I’ll never forget walking from the parking garage to the stadium. LSU fans were the meanest, most vile, most unsettling fanbase I have ever encountered. I was called a f***ot at least 10 times by grown men and the “tiger bait” jeers were honestly the most annoying.
Guy is a fricking liar. We have shitty fans, but that never happened.
At least 10 times by grown men to 13yo… nope.
Tiger bait… yes
Slashed tires in parking garage… nope
He’s a fricking liar

I remember them as being kinda sad. Not like emotionally sad, but like had no idea what they were getting into, false sense of arrogance sad. kinda like their fanbase sucked, but they didn’t really know what to do about it.

Pretty much everyone was. Jason White was a Heisman winner and had Mark Clayton (1,425/15 TDs). And LSU demolished them. 13/37....102 yards....and 2 Ints for White, and 4 catches for 32 yards for Clayton. I mean, our D made them look like rank amateurs. It was the beginning of the age of SEC dominance.
Also, they were in New Orleans. Did they really think walking around the Quarter after LSU won its first Natty since the 50s they would run into sober, quiet good sports?

I have many OU fans in the family as I live in far north Dallas close to the border
All think they are God’s gift to college football since they are a blue blood, everyone should bow down to them. They all can’t stand LSU to this day just because of 2003.
They think we have the trashiest fans. I encourage everybody to go to an Oklahoma game if you think that’s the case.

Was there.
OU was arrogantly telling us how they were going to kick our arses.
I liked it, because shite talking is part of the fun!
In the seats I was cheering hard for the Tigers. I noticed the boomer babe sitting next to me looking frightened. I sat down and calmly explained that she was perfectly safe, and that I would protect her from any real threat.
I then stated cheering hard again. I just don’t think they had a clue, and neither did their team.
They were much less arrogant on their way out.

Initially the OU fans were a bit rude, but we worked it out. During the game, there were some younger LSU fans throwing ice chips at OU fans in my section. I told them to quit the mess. Fans can be assholes on all sides.

He’s wrong in more than one way.
Oklahoma is 1-3 vs LSU. They played in 1950 and OU won 35-0.
And their fans were obnoxious in 2004, considering they were coming off a 35-7 beating from K State.

Seems like their fans are treating this like they are playing UGA or Bama.
There were cheaper tickets last week vs a ranked “rival” Mizzou than there are vs an unranked 7-4 LSU in cold, rainy weather.

I think it was a 4 day minimum for hotels in the Quarter? at least a 3 day minimum.
By the time the game rolled around everybody was hungover and exhausted. The whole time OU was certain they would win, no doubt. The game really wasnt that close it was 21-7 for a long time.
The morning after the game everyone was packed onto the interstate getting out and we were behind a 1980 Maroon Lincoln Continental with Oklahoma plates and in the back window there was a homemade sign on poster board that said "Follow me out of the God Forsaken place".

Every OU fan I encountered in the city from Friday-Sunday was an a-hole. frick them and frick that stupid song.

Would bet a lot of money that his tires being slashed had more to do with being in New Orleans than it did with LSU fans.
