“Labyrinth” is headed back to the big screen. David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly’s enduring fantasy musical, featuring an army of puppets by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, will return to theaters with a 40th anniversary re-release from Fathom Entertainment.
The “Labyrinth” 4K remaster will play theaters in North America from Jan. 8 to Jan. 11. The reissue includes a special featurette with footage from the “Labyrinth Experience & Masked Ball,” a cosplay event in the U.K. that was held in October.

One of my favorite movies.

40?
Ouch.
Is it just me or did the world go to shite after Bowie died.

I introduced my 8 year old niece to this a few months ago. She was entranced.

as sad as it is to admit - I have never seen it.....I will remedy that and watch it in theaters for my 1st viewing. i think my wife wants a divorce now for me admitting to her I had not seen it yet.

The only parts I remember are Hoggle urinating and the pit of hands touching all up on Jennifer Connely

Temper your expectations, not because it's ...well, it's different. Maybe not a timeless classic, but it's still a treasure.

Or The Rocketeer. Also released in 1991.

There was a time when I was a kid that I would have given anything to be able to do this.

Yep. It’s a Fathom Entertainment release.
They are also releasing The Lord of The Rings Trilogy this month. You can see the movies on back to back days on Jan 16. 17, and 18.
Then they are releasing V for Vendetta around Nov 5.

Never saw it as a kid, only found it on TV a year or two ago on. It's definitely a little darker/creepier than your average puppet movie.
