I bet Florida names their next head coach today or tomorrow…..

and that will tell you everything. Florida doesn’t want to be left at the alter on Saturday with egg on its face and face humiliation.
Then it’s down to LSU or stay at Ole Miss. He ain’t staying. Ole Miss blew it with the ultimatum. They can’t negotiate big league college football like the bigger programs. They’re amateurs. Kiffin to LSU. Book it.

If Florida names their HC today or tomorrow then it wouldn't be an active coach given the regular season isn't over. Who do you assume they are going to hire?
It's ridiculous that LSU fans suddenly thought they were going to grab a sitting HC while his team was still playing in the regular season. That hasn't happened in an LSU coaching search in decades (maybe ever). Now it's supposed to be "normal"?

There is a stronger chance LSU is going to be the one with "egg on its face" when Kiffin announces shortly after beating Miss. St that he's staying with Ole Miss (I still don't think he abandons six years of program building just before the CFP). All, while LSU has apparently put all of its eggs in one basket.

I doubt it. If there is any hope of landing Lane they are going to stay in it until the end just like us.

Ah yes, the things that pussies concern themselves with. Serious people don't really care about "egg on the face" because the people that care about "egg on their face" aren't serious people. Sauces in Gainesville say that no coaching search taking place. The new coach has been hired and announcement will take place on Saturday.

And "major universities" are full of people that aren't serious and shouldn't be taken seriously.
I'm just annoyed at the fact that people see things on the surface and never care to dig past it. The people that are running this search won't say this out loud, but they don't really care what we the fans think. When it comes to a serious situation like hiring a coach, they don't really care what Gee on the offshore platform thinks, nor should they.
