Most likely a new ambo driver who has never worked at the track and has no idea of where to be. No one is ever to be on the inside rail.
Also complacency on the part of the track Stewart’s.

Those freaking idiots just lost the ability to ever work that detail again.

The driver shouldn't be there.. but do they also not check the track before releasing the horses?

Somebody, obviously, didn’t communicate to the drivers that the race had started. The ambulance is supposed to tail the race.

Hard for them to see in an 870 qh race. It was on the turn.

I’m extremely impressed the jocks were able to steer out of the way and not clip heels or run into each other. In my experience they don’t always have the best power steering of the racing breeds.

I can’t believe the announcer kept calling the race
