What kind of team will LSU be able to field for a bowl game?

Between opt outs and entries into transfer portal, I could see this roster getting decimated.

aren’t all bowl games, except for the playoffs, littered with opt outs? I mean, I used to love bowl season but now, i don’t really care, except for the playoffs.

The “player development” angle for bowl games isn’t nearly what it once was.

Always do a bowl, always.
If it’s not playoffs, it doesn’t mean anything and I like seeing the back ups or the young players play

Exactly. People who want LSU to decline are way softer than any players they lament about.

That was the benchmark for bad bowl games, but we played it still. It was a terrible game as LSU had trouble fielding a team, and K-State actually was serious about the game. But WR Jontre Kirklin proved to be up to the task, and arguably could have been as good, if not better than Nuss

Yes everyone is going to opt out, and whoever is left will go to the portal. That is why NIL money must be aligned with performance which includes playing in all games barring injury. You do not play you lose your money. Do not tell me about jeopardizing professional careers; they are already professionals.
