I really like the concept but to watch 90% of the items prices artificially pushed higher to make it look like a deal is a bit much. The 10% of the real deals are nice though.

Every store marks items up, then discounts for sales. Even Amazon.

It just makes it more difficult to find the actual bargains.

At least on a computer if you look right below the proce you can click on "Price History" and it will bring up a pop-up on the left side of the page that you can look at 30 or 90 day prices. It isn't as comprehensive as Camal Camal, Camal and you can't set proce alerts but it is far less cumbersome.
I bought a few things yesterday as I am reorganizing my tool boxes and all were at the lowest price in 90 days but just 10-15% off.
Most of the consumer goods in Amazon have such low margins anyway the sales can't be doorbuster level. The main place that happens is electronics manufacturers making BF specials with lower specs, which is often seen with TVs.

I just use camel camel camel to track prices
I have to buy a large 110/220v power station before the tax credit expires Dec 31. The Anker Solix F3800 Plus w expansion battery and 400w solar is indeed cheaper right now than it has ever been. May wait to cyber Monday. Also a lot of companies have 30-day price guarantees

Get the extension called Keepa for Amazon. It puts a price history graph on every item on the site-

quote:I once heard markup on clothes is so high that even if the price is slashed 75%, it's still 25% profit

That's why Walmart remodelled their stores to place clothes next to groceries (small profit margin) and get more impulse buying of the big profit items
