This is not just a two horse race for Lane Kiffin.

Everything you’ve heard so far is true. LSU has made an offer and is the favorite, with Florida nipping at their heels. A reunion with Ole Miss isn’t even COMPLETELY out of the question yet. But there is one team that is not being talked about that is a real threat to obtain the services of Lane:
The New York Football Giants.
I have a couple of friends involved with the Football Giants organization. They told me that contact was made with Lane’s representatives and that interest is there. He would love the opportunity to return to the NFL and reunite with Jaxon Dart. He sees a bright future in New York with the young core being put together and feels like he can help build a perennial Super Bowl contender. Lane isn’t scared of the bright lights and the New York media; he would embrace it. This next part is just speculation on my part, but where do you think a man worth tens of millions would rather live: a dump like Baton Rouge or Gainesville, or the Greatest City in the World New York?
Look, I’m not making a ban bet. I don’t know any more than any other jabroni posting their sauces on this board daily. I’m just repeating what I’ve heard from people within the organization. All evidence shows that the Lane Train is LSU’s to lose right now with Florida hot on their trail. All I’m saying don’t be surprised when the Football Giants show up at the 11th hour and make a serious push for Lane’s services. Downvote away, but just remember y’all spent 8 pages yesterday watching Chouest fly to his hunting camp.

If Kiffin wants to take 50% of the money being offered to go coach a poverty franchise in the NFL, more power to him.
Good luck

It's LSU. Florida isn't even in second.

Lane can always go to the NFL. The Giants job will always open back up. This is probably is only shot to end up at LSU.

Big F'ing deal. We will regroup and find another coach. Problem solved.

I think Lane likes the south. I don’t see him living in New York.

I don’t see it. I could see Kiffin leaving for the NFL if it’s the right fit, but the Giants doesn’t feel like it.

If the Giants were in play, this would not be going on now. Lane could stay with Ole Miss to the end of the playoff. That's when NFL hiring season kicks off...mid January and goes on till after the Super Bowl.
The only reason this is happening now is that some college is the destination.

I’d believe it if Kiffin was a democrat. But given his republican stance, he isn’t moving to NY to live there under that mayor.
