Never took Matt Flynn for a chicken little. It’s tiresome…if Kiffin stays at Ole Miss then fine. We’re still LSU and will get our 2nd choice.
If Kiffin comes to LSU then also awesome.

I’m cautiously optimistic, I just don’t see a path where Lane returns to Ole Miss at this point. I think he’d go to Florida before staying.

I think Matt, like many, overestimate the ability and/or interest in keeping this sort of thing truly quiet.
Yes, there are controlled leaks for the sake of leverage, but let's not pretend that the real decision-makers are above being chatty.

I don’t know but that sounds pretty accurate to me. Flynn just isn’t a sunshine pumper and a lot of fans don’t like that.

He's more critical of Kiffin but justifies Drink. He says people don't like Drink because he gets "outcoached". No Matt, people don't like Drink because he can't seem to beat a team with a pulse. Could've kept Kelly for that and save on the buyout.

I can respect that because I'm not either, but I'm a realist. I've watched Mizzou. The only thing I've been impressed with is their ability to recruit "diamond in the rough" type players. Have decent defenses at times. I sometimes question the offenses he's had and lack of consistency against better opponents. Happens every year with them.

Really not rocket science
Leaking the details of the contact a week before the decision is to be made is pretty fricking dumb if the leak came from the LSU side
If it came from the Sexton side, then he is trying to get better offers from either UF, Ole Miss, or both
This is far from a “done deal”

I think many of us knew it wasn't "done" . Just "insiders" that want to post info to get ahead of the story. I get it, but I just prefer the actual details instead of assumptions. And they will say it's fluid. And people will get mad which is wrong to do because this situation is fluid. We don't know what anyone will do/is doing behind the scenes.
