I was working the evening shift last night, and the table neighboring my 2 top was none other than Lane Kiffin’s wife Layla Kiffin and 2 other women. The 3 were drinking wine for about an hour and a half. I overheard Layla mentioning that Lane has verbally committed via his agent to take the LSU job, but it will not be made public until ole miss either misses the playoffs or is eliminated. Downvote away but I heard what I heard.

Well done.

A verbal agreement from Lane doesn’t do shite for me. What if he doesn’t keep his word? The consequence is he hurt people in Baton Rouge’s feelings?

I smell another Tom Herman and Lincoln Riley situation

I’ll believe it when he picks up the yellow hat sitting on the table and slips it on, to his family celebrating.

That’s not happening. Ole Miss or LSU one of them won’t let it play out like that. It’s true Lane has the leverage, but the outrage from the Ole Miss fan base alone for the next few weeks won’t let that happen, lol. Just like Ole Miss administrators said there will be an announcement no later than the next day after the Egg Bowl(Saturday).

Have you found anyone in the Athletic Admin building say they give a shite about what you think?

Not going to happen, but why not let Lane sign with LSU and coach Ole Miss through the playoffs.

Lane could recruit for LSU while coaching Ole Miss for a month. You would have to have him sign something agreeing to not recruit his current players to LSU until after Ole Miss is eliminated. Downside is that wouldn’t be good for the Ole Miss players who want to follow him to LSU.

Again, not happening, but as an LSU fan I wouldn’t hate it. Lane could use some playoff coaching experience as a HC.

I see what you are saying, but I can’t see Ole Miss accepting that. LOL

On one hand, everyone is emotional. But stop being a bitch and think logically, realize he’s gone, but let him finish out this run. Why ruin the best season Ole Miss has ever had on the field when you don’t have to.

Heck, go hire his replacement while the playoffs are happening. We see it all the time where a new HC comes in, even goes to the bowl practices, and it’s not a distraction at all.

Hard to see this phrase coming out of a woman’s mouth at dinner with girlfriends lol. “Hey girlies! Are you ready to hear about the exact contract specifications and timing of my husbands job and its affect on the CFP? Coming right up!”

I agree with this. I mentioned this in an another post as well. Def think they would’ve held on to BK through the season if they didn’t have a high probability of closing Kiffin before UF could.
