Where would you rather raise a family, Gainesville or Baton Rouge?

His daughter is in college and spends plenty time in BR anyway. His son is 16. Ain't exactly scouting out pre-schools for the babies.

When you have that sort of money it doesn't really matter.. plus he only has one kid left at home but only for a few more years.

There are worse places for middle aged poonhound millionaires than Baton Rouge.

He has it made in Oxford. I wouldn’t want to live in BR or Gainesville if the money is the same everywhere.

If I'm him I'm asking for $14-15 million a year to stay at Ole Miss. He's already built it. Already shown he can win there. He might just be getting started.

Why chance starting over somewhere else when he's already making it there and can get paid?

Gainesville is also a pretty big shithole too. It’s not like it’s Boca Raton

This is true no doubt, but Gainesville is also a hop skip and a jump away from some nice Florida beaches.

With that sort of money you buy a home in St Augustine or something only 1.5 hours away.

If he brings them a championship, I am sure he gets a beachfront home from the boosters.

Serious Question:

Does LSU really have a lot more resources (money) than Ole Miss ?

Is Baton Rouge a better place to live than Oxford.

Is tradition and access to players enough to draw him to Baton Rouge ?

Why would the most desired coach in America want to live in either ?

If LSU pays him it's Natty or Bust, he will be ran out of town in five years if not.

If he can win 10 games in 4 out of the last 5 seasons at Ole Miss he can win a championship at LSU in 5 years.
