Off topic... but sanction/ed is one of the most annoying words in our language. Polar opposite meanings depending on context.

It certainly looks loaded down with something.
But WTH? Delivering oil TO Venezuela? Shouldn't it be picking up hydrocarbons to be used in Russia/ What about the huge reserves of heavy oil in Venezuela? Or do they not know how to refine it?
Wasn't one of the refineries in Chalmette designed to handle Venezuelan crude? (Thirty years ago)

The Russian tanker was named 'Sea Horse.' The boat has an English name on the hull. Putin needs to raise those taxes again so Russians can build their own tankers.

That's bullshite! Oil refineries don't need to import Naphta, they produce plenty when refining crude oil.

A majority of largest GC refineries are reconfigured to run heavy sour crude. Cheaper feed stocks with a larger crack spread (profit). Russian and Venezuelan crude were primary feeds until sanctioned.

Somewhere i heard Ukraine was targeting specific Russian refining assets (fractionators, crackers and hydrotreaters) this would limit their ability to process to final end products. They may be sending raw naptha to Venezuelan refineries to finish processing.

I spent about four days in Cuba back in 2013. I ate a bunch of meals at restaurants. I could not get good fresh fruit…in a tropical paradise. If Saudi Arabia was communist you would have a hard time buying a load of sand. In Alaska, you’d have trouble buying ice. Communism sucks!
