If nothing else, the fact that Kiffin:

1. Hasn’t signed an extension yet, when it’s assuredly been offered to him ad nauseam at this point (like it was with Elko, Cig, etc.)

2. Has dragged this out without saying anything like “I’m not leaving”. Everything has been cryptic and vague: “we’re just reliving in the moment” and shite like that.

Tells you he is trying leave. Forget all of the “done deal” Philly smoke and BOS meeting this morning. None of that shite really matters. Every passing hour that an extension isn’t signed is good for LSU. I know everyone knows this already, but think it needed reminding.

Yes. Biggest thing is no extension signed and him dancing around the issue publicly.

That is exactly what it seems like which is exactly why everyone is nervous. Lane is a complete wild card.

Or he could be waiting to see which of his options give him the best deal

Or Florida. Nobody knows anything with Sexton.

There is no denying that there is something about his situation at Ole Miss he doesn't like. Something in the contract extension that they want and he doesn't, or he wants and they don't. Or something about how the university supports the football program. Something is off.

But that doesn't mean they won't fix the issue this week and he will sign his extension and stay at Ole Piss.

Possible he signed it during the meeting with his AD this morning.

There is a world where UF and LSU's NIL commitments are above and beyond and he wasn't Ole MIss to match. Or maybe he wants their facilities to join the other big programs in the SEC. Think about OM selling out for UF to woo Lane and LSU had more people in a 3/4 full stadium vs a 2 win Arky at 11:45am. I don't know what their other facilities are like but every time LSU, Bama, UGA or UF updates, you hear about it.

The only thing that is obvious is that he is listening to other programs' offers. The only definitive thing he has done is try not to be definitive in anything.

That would be leaked or revealed so quickly.

That’s because it wasn’t at 9, or got postponed to noon.

Agree he could be using this situation to make sure ole miss is committed and 40m for Nil he probably stays. Why wouldn't he think he could win multiple titles. He is that confident of a coach

50,000

That’s the average Ole Miss football attendance when Lane doesn’t beg them to show up.

It is equally likely he never wanted to leave Ole Miss but is doing this to drive up his contract price.

Did he need to embarrass and piss off Ole Miss throughout the process? No probably not - but that's Lane.

Not a chance. They'd have announced immediately.
