Calling his team average .

Dude- say this behind the scenes.

Just support what’s been done at this point in the season. Make a case for being ranked well.

He’s setting the stage for his exit

Drunk big tongued jackass. Guy is the most unprofessional head coach I’ve seen outside of the guy that was at Charlotte last year.

I mean when you look at their schedule, you can kind of see his point.

The only ranked team is Ole Miss and he got blown out by them. Also lost to a UTSA team pretty handedly.

I'm 44, all my coaches called me worse names than average.

He will give the media a sound bite and sit there and analyze all of their reactions. Really weird.

I’d argue the guy the entire board is clamoring for maybe has a bit more of a history of unprofessionalism.

I remember when I was 15 and did not know what coach speak was, and I'd let this trigger me, too.

EXACTLY what he should be saying.
No complacency.
I once had to explain to my brother in law why I critique sports teams heavily, even in winning.
Coaches and fans need to see issues and get on top of them before they become a bigger problem down the road.
Ie- it was blatantly obvious in the Florida game that we had absolutely no offense.
No o line. No running game. No downfield passing threat.
You shouldn’t have been surprised in our La Tech performance and beyond.
Challenge your team and keep their mindset grounded to always improve.

I prefer a coach that will tell it like it is. Its not like he's throwing individual players under the bus... Im all for sending a message to the team! There's no room for coddling in football.

We watched BK try to put lipstick on a pig for the first 6 weeks of the season when he talked about the offense.

Why? Did Saban not say his team wasn't good enough when it wasn't?

Who doesn't love a coach that wears a shirt, RMFW? If Sumrall were the coach at LSU, which he won't be, he'd demand the band play NECK. The man has stones. He played linebacker at Kentucky and was a very good player till he got hurt.

He has won, everywhere he's been. What else is there to say?

Fans have absolutely zero input on a team addressing a deficiency. Coaches should know strengths and weaknesses of a team well before their conference opener. Our coaching staff somehow did not and still don’t know how to mask our deficiencies.

What's the attitude of his team at practice? What are the players saying and doing off the field? We don't know, but Sumrall does. So how do you know he's not saying exactly what needs to be said!

If coaches are ignoring you, you're in trouble. Otherwise you get a few attaboys and more than a few tongue lashings, then all is good.

Kind of soft. Coaches say a lot of things.

That needs to be my new head coach.

Please, Auburn; for the love of all things football, hire Jon Sumrall.
