Why would evolution lead us to a point where we kill babies so efficiently and of such #?

Does the animal kingdom kill their little ones with the frequency that humans kill theirs?

Do we have an out as a superior species because of ‘reason’? Our ‘reason’ causes us to off babies at an efficient pace? Or are the animals more evolved than us?

Truly want to understand the evolutionary answer.

when you dont have to work hard to survive, you dont see as much value in life.

The common themes is that God is lacking with those who are good with either/both.

Those who downvoted me for what I said...please enlighten me on where God would be associated with the teachings of evolution or the act of abortion...square peg...round hole...

So here is an alternate approach...

Part of evolution is stability and control. Overpopulation is a negative....

Especially overpopulation of people who produce nothing but chaos and violence while holding their hand out for what YOU produce.

scarcity of resources and means?

NOPE

I question your use of the word 'evolve'. The answer is many natural instincts (such as fear of outsiders and it's cousin the instinct to be part of a 'family') have DEVOLVED.

Miserable people living a miserable existence tend not to care about others.

Hold on now….you’re spending too much time on this board. There are actually some good people out there that voted for Trump.

Has nothing to do with evolution.

We care for the weak at the expense of the strong in absolute defiance of evolution.

It was just a sick joke of ‘evolution’, letting us exist for a temporal tine. Evolution has a sense of humor. Maybe he will lead his followers to a warmer client in the evolution timeline.

Animals certainly eat their young and it has been recognized as a valid, evolutionarily beneficial strategy that helps ensure the overall survival and reproductive success of the parent's genes

Hell it wasnt until really a few centuries ago that humans began regarding children as really being special and given special societal treatment.

Is the other option that God created us to kill babies?

He does like to kill babies on his own

Oh great, this topic.

I'm old enough to remember when the Republican party valued individual liberty and a small government. Now they want government to interfere with the private relationship between doctor and patient.

Some will try to come up with religious reasons. Yet the Bible even has a recipe to induce abortions. Numbers 5:11-31.

For a long time, the majority of people in our country didn't really care one way or another about abortion, it just was not an important issue to be concerned about. Then something changed:

Body politics: the secret history of the US anti-abortion movement
and
The Real Origins of the Religious Right
They’ll tell you it was abortion. Sorry, the historical record’s clear: It was segregation.

Finally, when the anti-choice choose: “The Only Moral Abortion is My Abortion”

Y'all have a nice day.

The evolutionary path has been transhumanism for a century at least.

It’s the presence of evil. Animals have no soul and can’t be possessed by evil in the same manner humans can.

The devil does t go around tempting animals with prideful thoughts.
