Does Lane leave whatever job he has and chase the Bama coaching job?

Do we want to pay a bunch of money to a guy who will be poached by Bama to be their HC?

I don’t see Bama boosters getting along with his antics, just my opinion.

Dabo's time as a candidate for Bama has passed

He's damaged goods at this point

It’s a lateral move, though.

Who knows

Does that stop us from getting the best option?

I don’t think you should plan for the unknown.

Exactly.

Not sure he’d leave LSU for any other job. If he was that in demand then that would mean he’s winning well at LSU.

I disagree; I think the Gumps would welcome him with open arms!

Put a huge buyout that doesn’t decrease overtime in his contract and let’s not worry about it. If Bama wants him with $100 million buyout tag attached to him. Let him come get them three years four years five years from now.

If LSU hires Lane I can honestly see him as a 15-20 year finish career type coach at LSU

The point of the question is do we crown a king of LSU with wandering eyes, or do we find someone who can give us what we desire, and also has no interest to leave because the market has less pull than his loyalty?

Yea you can always put in a rider that says buyout is X except to Alabama in which case buyout is 3X.
