A coalition of 130 congressional Democrats filed an amicus brief to the Supreme Court urging it to rule in favor of two trans athletes in forthcoming cases over the protection of women's sports and national enforcement of Title IX.
The coalition, which includes nine senators and 121 House members, is led by Congressional Equality Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Becca Balint, D-V.t., Democratic Women’s Caucus Chair Rep. Teresa Leger Fernández, D-N.M., and Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii.
quote:
The 130 Democrats on the list urged the court to side with Becky Pepper-Jackson, a trans teen from West Virginia who successfully challenged the state's law that prohibits biological males from competing in girls' sports, and Lindsay Hecox, who successfully challenged a similar law in Idaho to compete on Boise State's women's cross-country team.
"Categorical bans—such as the bans in West Virginia and Idaho—undermine those protections and the ability of transgender students to be part of their school community," the brief writes.
quote:
The congressional Democrats are taking this position even as support for trans athletes in women's and girls' sports emerged as a weakness for voters and point of contention within the party over the last year.

So the chairwoman of a women's caucus is advocating for males to be able to compete against females.

It just shows how they love to make groups with cause-related names just to be fronts for whatever insanity the Democratic party powers want to push.
It might as well be Gays For Islam.

Dems have no moral compass, water is wet.

It is about the cause, and the power it gives them, not the people.

what a losing issue. They just cant help themselves.

There was bound to be one issue that the libs would get stuck on.
This is apparently the big one.
It's been hammered into their psyches so relentlessly that they don't know what else to pivot to.
They don't have original thoughts.
The hivemind is still glitching with the concept....

It’s fascinating to watch the democrat women push for men to take over their spaces. They don’t even see the pitfalls

There should be no such thing as a trans minor child. Then the sports issue would be moot.

All you females. Your liberal leaders want you to get beat by a man stand up for yourself

These organizations need to stop calling it womens or mens sports.
Call it XX basketball and XY basketball. All players submit a DNA sample and the results of that test tells you where you play.

That is absolutely false. They just have to compete and share facilities with the same sex. Not the opposite.
