Criticize CBK, but he had better SEC conference record than Kiffin past three years!

Prior to this season, CBK was 17-7 in the SEC, while Kiffin was only 15-9 over past three seasons!

So how do you rationalize firing a coach and paying his $54M buyout (which he will eventually get) and then turnaround and want to hire a coach that has had less success in the same conference over the past three seasons and pay him a record amount of money that will also have a larger buyout?

If LSU has that much money to throw around, let's go after one of the big dogs and forget Kiffin, who is averaging more than 3 losses a season at OM!

BK was also 13-8*

Reading comprehension is bad, but that is some selective years you chose. Ole Miss is 17-6 over the past 3 years.

We are LSU and they are Ole Miss. 15-9 at Ole Miss is better than 17-7 at LSU

One was coaching LSU and one was coaching Ole Miss. Oh and you conveniently left out this season. GTFOH

If Kiffin is hired, the fans will already start seeing greener grass in other pastures.

Thats just how this fanbase is.

I for one don’t want kiffin but everyone here does and so does my entire family.

Give me Dillingham (who is to expensive imo) or who I really want is golesh &load the staff with the best. Golesh at around 5mil a year super heavy incentive laden contract and 2-2.5mil per year per OC and DC and say 1-1.5mil year dline, oline, wr db and qb coach that’s a 14-17.5mil staff. And I think would still be cheaper then kiffin and better in long run.

Lane didn’t go a great job last year. I’ll give you that. That should have been a playoff team.

Fair point. So why don't you tell me one championship or even one championship game that Kiffin has won or even coached in over his ENTIRE coaching career?

OK, I'm waiting......

Speaking of ranked teams, please explain this - Lane Kiffin has a record of 11-24 against ranked opponents as the Ole Miss head coach.

OK, I'm still waiting.....

Its the fact in his 4th yr, he showed an inability to develop the oline, when he was handed 2 starters for it. And that his 4th yr, with the biggest nil budget and transfer class, he was having his worst year, and worst offense in the sec.

Lsu hasnt had the truly bad year you see usc, Michigan, Florida, auburn, tenn, Penn st go thru. Not sure if its lsu program, avg athlete we get... but we haven't finished the regular season under 500 in like 25 years.

It was the decline of performance, and lack of development or improvement year after year. Add in rumbles of drinking, not being hands on in gameplans or with players/ at ops building much... cant have that and being paid 10mm.

I never said CBK was better than anybody! I said it makes no sense to go after someone who is in the same conference and has done worse than the coach we just dismissed and pay them more.

You brought up the ranked teams record! I made my point about Kiffin's record against ranked teams and suddenly you don't have a response.

Numbers don't lie!
