Kiffin may well string LSU along but in the end, LSU can make an offer that OM will feel obligated to match (for various reasons) and in doing so not have resources to continue the overall fight. LSU may not get Kiffin (so what) but will cause serious financial harm. Advantage LSU!

Sounds like Florida is about to go broke for Kiffin. They also have the stadium renovations to pay for.

Shutting down the asylums was a mistake

It's not about his salary. All 3 schools can make him the highest paid coach. It's about yearly NIL budget and legacy.

This is 100% why he isn’t at OM or Florida next year. If OM was to match what numbers I've heard, they wouldn't be able to compete in the NIL. Kiffin would be the first to tell you that NIL is the most important thing now.

OM broke the bank for Kiffin's NIL last year and had a fricking NFL QB and couldn't win shite. They're not in the position to pay Lane $15M a year AND $25M for NIL.

That's why he wants out. If he could make year in and year out work at OM, he would.

And yet, here we are at 10-1.

OM has alumni capable of supporting their football program. John Grisham is worth $400 M, and earns $50-80 M in royalties each year.

Morgan Freeman is an OM supporter not an alumnus. He's worth $250 M

Been saying the same thing. If Kiffin ends up at FU or staying at Ole Miss, they overpaid for not a coach that hasn't really proven anything (other than that he has good offenses and is good at creating a media circus).

Idk who the "right" guy is. And I know it's not my job to figure that out. But I do know that Kiffin might not be that guy... and I'm not sure that's a bad thing.

And damn lucky to be so.

Your schedule is an abject, embarrassing joke and pathetically easy.

So will LSU. 14 -17 million a year with a sweet buyout is real money. If I'm a booster I gotta ask myself I f I'm spending this kind of money on one guy, what's in it for me? A sparkling trophy in the school's athletic department doesn't cut it. What's my tangible return?

I hope you understand that most SEC schools have alums/donors worth considerably more than that and more of them. They’re just not celebrities

But but the owner of a bunch of Taco Bell’s is a big donor to Ole Miss!!! They can give Lane 30 mil a year.

LSU currently cannot come up with the money to pay the coach they just fired and had to rob a children’s hospital to pay off the one they fired before him.
