My post got locked back on 10/31 when I wanted everyone to be happy about Lane and not be upset about losing your coach. When one window closes another one opens.

Please be nice.

Thank you Chicken for a great site to read although many posters are negative people.

I love Lane TBH

He adds fun to college football and would give us 365 days a year of entertainment

When Kiffin stays in Oxford our melt is going to rival that of Alabama when Saban left.

I actually kinda doubt it, but a lot of that would depend on who gets the job

Negativity is pointing out mistakes AFTER they’re made.

Myself and many others knew it was a mistake to fire CBK mid season and said so weeks before it happened, and saw the chaos that would ensue. I love LSU, I have 3 children that have degrees from LSU, two post grads, one PHD, and I hate what has been happening of late.

Similarly, I think it would be best for LSU to not drink the Lane Kiffin kool aid. He has been an excellent offensive coordinator. As a head coach, not so much. He’s had 12 seasons of experience that has not been successful enough to win any championships of any kind, excluding the egg bowl, sometimes. UM has not constrained him at all. UM has one of the most aggressive NIL packages in the country. These OM teams have been HIS teams. And USC and TN are major P5 programs. Those two stops weren’t just bad, they were awful.

NIL is now king, but it's a new phenomenon that's happened in the middle of his watch. Ole Miss has gotten better since.

Furthermore things like pro prospects, national exposure and NIL money, as well as facilities and program prestige, still matter

True but that was over a decade ago. Assuming he's learned nothing since being a coordinator under saving and then running an SEC program for half a decade it's just idiocy

No evidence to support this, he's a good coach but that doesn't make you a good man.
