Layla Kiffin is a Florida alum and her dad was a QB and coached under Spurrier. As they reconcile, there is a decent chance that he is deferring to her wishes.
Maybe today's visit to Baton Rouge was her "kicking the tires" just to see if there's a good reason not to buy the other car you already like.
The public visits and Ole Miss' ultimatum makes it very likely he is leaving. He probably thinks he's got a slightly better shot at a national championship at LSU than Florida but it's not that substantial.
If he's letting her have 51% of the decision, it's advantage Florida all other things being equal; however, if she enjoyed her visit and has good vibes, maybe reconciling in a new place is just the ticket..

Imagine being a hanger-on’er like his ex wife. She’s got to check out the landscape bc her future depends on it.
Instead of moving on with her life, she’s stuck being a retread and acting like a good parent. She doesn’t gaf where her kids go to school - she just cares about the lifestyle she stands to gain as a result of her ex’s career path.

I do think it's a little weird that his ex-wife is supposedly playing such a large role in this. I understand it from the perspective of wanting to see where her kids will be going to school, though.

The best thing that can happen is for ole miss fans, administrators, government..etc to really piss him off. Would then make LSU even more appealing being we're a permanent rival. We play yearly and next year in Oxford. Florida doesn't give him that. It also could go against LSU in that maybe he doesn't want to play them every year after building them up and then leaving.

He may have built them up, but he will also quickly tear them down when their best players and recruits head to LSU.. Also, the SEC wants this to happen.. What is one thing that LSU is lacking? A true rival game. This will fill that void for years to come just like when Saban went to Alabama.
