It seems like less and less women are cooking, especially in the Millennial and Gen Z generations. Is it that they’re not interested in learning how to cook? Would they rather just get takeout or just eat the easy prep stuff? What do y’all think?

Women aren’t homemakers anymore for the most part.

It's wild to me how many people don't cook.

That being said, most I know personally are single women who don't find cooking to be "worth it" when they can just eat Triscuits and cheese for dinner. Which, I get.

I married a GenX gal who can't cook for shite. My niece, who is a millennial, is a great baker.

Maybe more women cooking, actually... there are so many how to videos out there and enhanced exotic ingredients easier than ever to get.

My daughter and her friends are way more into cooking than I ever was. I do it because food is good and we like eating, they do it as a freaking art form and a contest.

Mine likes to cook together moreso than cook by herself but im doing most of the work. I kind of prefer that as I consider myself the better cook

Cooking/baking has exploded on social media in the past 10 years as well.

We might have less people overall cooking these days, but those that do, are often making far more involved meals than our moms were.

There are many meals I grew up on (like Hamburger Helper, Shake n Bake, etc.) that I've never made as an adult despite cooking daily. I find people are more willing to cook from scratch than they used to be.

no reason not to be. IG/FB have more people cooking than I can believe. Or maybe its just my algorithm. and YT makes it pretty simple to see exactly how its done.

Cooking has become a hobby, not a necessity

The younger generation prefers to not only over pay for eating out, but add overpayment to also have it delivered, then complain to their boss that they don’t make enough money.

They are also fat and/or mushy looking for eating trash every meal.
