Exactly the right answer and I give him a ton of credit because he has the entire Israel lobby in his ear screaming otherwise.

Well done Mr President.

It seems like the marketplace of ideas is working.

Tucker interviews Fuentes and then we hear counter arguments to Fuentes.

We get to hear both sides and nobody got cancelled.

Isn't that how it is supposed to work?

The problem is not Tucker's choice to interview Fuentes, or anyone else. The problem is his choice not only to refuse to challenge their controversial views, but to agree with them.

Such as? I didn’t watch that interview- what’s a controversial view that Tucker agreed with?

The “controversial” view that Israel controls our government and they shouldn’t?

You apparently did not watch the interview. They absolutely did disagree and Tucker did dispute one of his main ideas. They just conducted themselves respectfully and people are judging that as agreement.

True and Tucker typically takes that approach, but not to long ago he didn't do that with his Ted Cruz "interview". Agree with Cruz or not, but it's hard for Tucker to say he's not picking sides when you look at the way he approached the 2 interviews with similar topics.

I like Tucker. Listen to his podcast on my commute home. But anything Israel related I've started to skip cause it is a different Tucker. It's not a down the middle discussion.

Standing up for the marketplace of ideas- a lot of people appreciate that.

I found a transcript of the interview in question, so far I haven’t found anything awful. I’m only about 25m into a 2hr thing, but this first half hour is basically Carlson letting Fuentes speak and give background.

I sympathize with what I’ve heard so far- which is basically NF having questions or noticing things and immediately getting “canceled” and called antisemite. I’ve seen that play out on this very board- instead of discussion or debate things turn into a “you hate Jews” thing.

Now- maybe as I get further into the transcript I’ll find something objectionable, but even so I don’t know how it could possibly become a “Tucker Bad” issue simply because he interviewed someone. We’ll see, though.

I'll let VDH's comments speak the the Fuentes interview

Here's an example of a Tucker soliloquy from a Charlie Kirk "interview" ... just bizarre

quote:

Over the past few months, TC's made repeatedly ridiculous and very irresponsible statements. When Joy Behar and Whoopi act stupidly on the View, we justifiably write it off to rationale associated with double digit IQs. Tucker is not in that category. He knows better. Something is very off with him.

They quit teaching government (civics) in schools. Hence, the constant catcalls of nazi, fascist, communist, etc..

Very few people know that antifa is a communist movement that is anti-fascist. Now you know why the "fascist" label is thrown around at those who are not antifa or communist.

It is too bad media is filled with communists or communist sympathizers.

Instead of telling me something particular... you post a video of someone else's take.

I am reading the actual transcript of the actual interview and willing to discuss or debate that particular content... and here you are just posting another person's opinion.

Did YOU watch or read the ACTUAL interview?

If not, then you are simply adopting someone else's interpretation... I can't debate that, it's ridiculous.

I had this SAME problem with another poster involving a Tucker Carlson video (concerning Thomas Crooks)-I watched the daggum thing but the other poster refused and instead of actually discussing it he would just post newsweek articles that denounced it. Y'all are some unserious people in that regard.
