I use clothes to hide on the weekend. Ratty shorts. Shirt eith a few burn holes in it. Ratty flip flops. Nice watch.
The clothes stop people from bugging me. The watch lets the sharp eyed know I'm not actually dirt poor.

Its sad what's happened to society. Especially black society.
Look at old pics of Motown acts.
Supremes, etc were classy looking ladies.
Classy dresses etc.
The mens groups had nice suits.
Now, everyone looks like trash.

I'm very grateful for dress codes. I can't get into certain restaurants without a jacket. That's great. I don't want to sit next to people who look like bums. If you want to look like a bum - go eat at McDonald's.

In our rural parish, black men and women still dress to the nines for church.
I went to see an older Al Green in concert. I had been in court and thought that I would be way overdressed in a suit. I wasn't. The black women were decked out for Mr. Green LOL.
BTW, it was a great show. He sang a couple of Motown medleys, some classic motown, some upbeat gospel and his big songs.

Hip hop culture but there are definitely some bangers. Maybe should have left the outfits in the music videos.
