They were thrown off of INDUSTRIAL projects due poor project management. Then, handling all the block grant money for Katrina saved the company.

They did and by the time they were acquired by CB&I they were a Fortune 500 company.
They've would've been bigger if their deal with Turner went through.

Don’t we have multiple of threads with tales of his employees doing whatever was necessary to avoid getting stuck in an elevator with him?

He was abrasive. Executives of companies that he acquired generally regretted the deal once they spent some time being managed by him. But he was effective at taking over struggling companies and turning them around.

Wasn't he a huge donor of both Slick Willy and Killary?

All I remember is that CB&I paid a ridiculous amount of money for Shaw that I feel like was a total shell game and they got completely fleeced in the deal.
Also I sat in front of him at church once and during the part where you offer a sign of peace, I stuck my hand out to shake his and he just looked at my hand and then at me.. He didn't shake it. I was like "oooook" and thought it was kind of a dick move. This was well after covid. I realized who he was later on.
That's my Jim Bernhard stories.
