good genetics. Best coaching available. All the physical tools. Massive hype.
And the product is like division 2.
I never seen anything like it.

He’s Cooper’s kid.
Played against lower talent than when the other Mannings were at Newman.
Peyton and Eli never saw him play or were around while he was in high school. I think Peyton admitted he saw him once maybe. But point remains they weren’t around like he was soaking up and picking their brains.
His name alone brought the attention and then the media told everyone what to expect.
He has potential, but anyone who saw him play or dug deeper into his development knew it was all overhyped.

Never seen anything like it? Lol. He’s an inexperienced player that is growing and getting better. He has super high expectations from the beginning that he was never realistically going to be able to live up to.

If only there was a passing academy that he could have attended to get proper instruction.

Hope he stays at Texas for one more year.

He looked great in yesterday’s game. Although play calling was pretty bad.

Agree and I blame the media. People who are disappointed only have themselves to blame.
I still think he’s growing and could be really good, but you’re right none of those expectations were fair to him. He wasn’t evaluated on a fair scale and that’s not his fault.

Yea a passing camp once a year isn’t going to create some generational talent. Nuss was at those camps too. Allegedly that’s about the extent of Nuss’s off season workout.

His fundamentals look bad to me. That sidearm slinging he does all the time looks terrible.

He played solid yesterday. His receivers had numerous big time drops. Arch has progressively gotten better and if you can’t see that you are blind.

It's his first year starting. He has the tools. We've seen small moments of what he can be. I feel like people are quitting on him too quickly.

6.8 million $$$$
No excuses when you’re paying that much money to a college player! He needs to play like he is a fifth year senior!

He's not very good.
Good kid, but he doesn't belong in the SEC.

Tbh, he doesn't look to have the physical ability, tools, nor the mechanics the be highly successful. People keep saying he does. But, he really doesn't. He has a weak arm and his mechanics fall apart pretty quick under pressure. Even if he continues to work and stops falling back to poor mechanics, he doesn't have the physical ability to make all the throws a NFL QB needs to make.

Names and hype can cloud the judgement of even people who evaluate for a living. Mel Kiper thought Shedeur Sanders was the best QB in the draft last year.

He was destined to not meet the hype at UT
Still say he’ll end up being a decent QB

It’s very obvious that Sark doesn’t trust him to throw the ball downfield.
Until the game was lost, he barely threw a pass over 10 yards.
Sark will struggle to recruit a QB after having 2 of the highest rated QB’s ever in Ewers and Maning, but both were mediocre at best
