Or they don't know anything about football....

Berry would have easily scored, but he stopped short of the goal line with 1:35ish left and Arky having 1 time out left. Because of this selfless act, we were able to take the victory formation and run out the clock. Much better than giving the ball back to them with that much time left down by 8.

Hunt Palmer ran his mouth on the post-game show complaining too.

I know it's still just 30 against a horrible team, but at least get it right...

Yes Berry stop short of the endzone to run the clock out, which is the right play. As Herm Edwards said “You play to win the game” but the facts are we scored 23 pts. 23-22 good guys Hunt was right you are still a bad offense, but take the dub

My thought is, why even criticize things now?

23, with a shot for 30.

But we're bad too, we've fired the head coach and are being coached by an interim. Our 5th yr senior QB sat and we started a guy who transferred for depth. Our backup for the game was a guy brought in as a backup, who's been playing as a RB.

Yeah, there's a lot of work to be done in the offseason; we already know that. If there wasn't, Kelly would still be here.

I was at the game.. semantics here

30 points is what we had... 23 is the scoreboard...

Thinking the way some of you think, go ahead and take the TD and then we would probably have lost in overtime ...

I hear you, but we we also had +3 on turnovers.
This game should not have been near this close.

I agree with you 100%

Guess it's about time for me to pack up and make the drive back to Houston from campus. Glad we won!!

LSU had the ball on the Florida 3 with a 1st down and 1:52 left in the game and kneeled to run out the clock. So we actually had 27 that game, right?

Even 30 pts on a Berry score is less than Auburn's 33 against Ark, which was the previous fewest amount of points put up by an SEC team against the Hogs. Anyone with eyes and half a brain knows this offense is horrible. A product of coaching malpractice in player development, scheme and gameday decisions.

They held a Bobby Petrino offense to 15.

The Tigers are still a poorly coached team, but I’ll take holding a Petrino offense to 15 every chance I get.

Especially with this offense and extra especially with this offense lead by a backup QB.

Hurray, offense is fixed because we could have scored 5 points more than our average against the worst defense in college football.

We didn’t watch the game because Berry took a dive at the end? It was a painful offensive day. This team is struggling to get to 25 in the modern era of college football. You can dress it up anyway you may like, but that’s just bad football.

We were in the red zone, what one time before the final drive?

Is a bitch.

I’ll take the guaranteed victory versus the blocked EP attempt and 30-29 loss every day.

I agree with OP. Technically no, but realistically, we did.

20 years from now when you go back and look at Frank Wilson’s first LSU win your gonna see 23-22 not “should have been 30”-22. But I’m fun at parties. K thanks

Are we just going to ignore our problems when we get in or around the redzone?

Over half of LSU’s rushing yards came on the last drive. I’m glad LSU won and glad Berry did the right thing by going down, but the offense is what it is…..not good. Schematically it needs a lot of work and they lack physicality. They haven’t scored over 25 against any FBS opponent….thats a fact. They also scored 23 against Arkansas. That’s a fact. This fans base is full of the what if/but this/and if/if the refs……

I give Berry a lot of credit for making the proper decision there.

And it showed he's a team player. He could have scored to record another touchdown for his personal stats, but didn't and that helped insure victory.
