For anyone curious, thats better than Nuss in 4 games this year, and really a 5th agaisnt Bama unless you think 18/21 for 121 yards is good.

Is he Joe Burrow or Jayden? No. Is he better than Nuss? Absolutely.

All below what Arky gives up on average. Not hating on the kid, he did well moving around the pocket but I can also be honest with how bad of a defense we faced.

His pocket awareness is about 1000x better than Nuss.

He’s far from perfect but he’s not infuriating to watch like Nuss is.

He's better than Nuss but he should not be #1 next year

We beat Ole Miss if we put him in after half and probably beat Vandy too. Kelly was a stubborn dumbass.

That last QB scramble for 25+ yards was game highlight for me. We've been missing a playmaker in the clutch, when you are saddled with a putrid OL.

I am stating that he put up these numbers against one of the worst defenses in the country. If you don’t like facts and you are emotional then sure it’s hating.

Defense could not get off the field in the second half.

Defense could not get off the field the entire Vandy game.

Let's agree that MVB is still fighting an uphill battle against his own coaching staff - whom by the way, are absolutely terrible at their job/s.

With that said, MVB > Nuss.

Every QB under center is fighting an uphill battle at LSU. We have an offensive line that cannot block run or pass.

Although run blocking has improved with less RPO calls. The pass blocking is very bad. It’s worse kind of bad. It’s not just the interior or exterior that is bad. Last year in pass pro a QB typical knew pressure would be from the middle. This season it’s been all over the line.

The only thing MVB proved today is that our problem has never been the QB. It's been OL mistakes in blocking or penalties. MVB only had one play that was a bonehead decision which was the pass right before half that could've been picked, but they Arky DB dropped it. He managed the game well.

In the end though, you played a defense ranked in the bottom 10 in the nation at home and scored 23 points. We still struggle finishing drives and most of that is because of subpar OL play.

Yes he did and there needed to be a change at QB.

But.....

no awful interceptions or huge mistakes.

Only because Arkansas couldn't catch the ball. He should have had 2 Ints and was inaccurate on a few others. It was his first start at LSU so I think he did great but it wasn't a world class type game. He played well enough to beat a bad team.

MVB has a ton of heart and he sacrificed his RS for this team. That means something.

With that said, objectively speaking, his anticipation is sub par and his accuracy leaves a lot to be desired.

These things can be worked on and get better Daniels improved tremendously in the offseason. Of course, MVB is no where near the athlete Daniels is, but he can improve more than enough to give us a fighting chance.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for the young man. Giving up a year of eligibility for your teammates is the kind of selfless decisions leaders make.
