They cracked the code to making pop catchy years ago.
That's when bro country blew up, b/c it's all based on that same algo.
It's not shocking AI can replicate the same algo humans have been spamming for 15-20 years now.

The ability to make your own music is here. The recording industry be damed.

Man. Its going to rock industries.

It is a shite category. Rick Beato covers this in his laest video.

It's not any worse than most of what they try to pass off as country music today. Pop and rock music are made with the same formula. I would rather listen to this than Jellyroll.

This is why actual musicians like me love groups like Radiohead and Coldplay and more experimental tracks from Kanye, Lana Del Rey, U2 (from 1982 to 1998), Rufus Du Sol, etc..
Because they are also actual musicians who make their own music music from scratch and who (often, not always) seek out unique and distinctive song patterns. They often rebel against formulaic song patterns.
Country music, rap/hip hop and mainstream pop music are all VERY guilty of formula derived crap. Maroon 5 is a fantastic example of bullshite formulaic pop. Bro country rock is also terrible in this way as is a lot of the Rap / hip hop that I hear.

Bruh - stop using radio to know country - and go find Colter Wall, Sierra Ferrell, Sturgill Simpson, Charles Wesley Godwin, Joe Stamm Band, etc.
Some of those are quite well known, not exactly underground. But country is a pretty incredible genre right now, tons of great stuff from Western Swing to Folk to traditional country and bluegrass.
All algorithmic programs sucks. Find good blogs, those still exist, and buy music. Stop relying on Spotify to "serve" you music. You are just going to get this stuff. And you know what? They're going to build AI artists that go right into Spotify that will merge all this stuff in. That's the future. Of course they are going to tell you it's persona, it's "your" music experience, but they are way wrong.
There's more great country music being made right now than 30 years ago. Fact.

Damn. I had no idea Allen Iverson had gotten that big.
But seriously, am I the only one here who's concerned that AI will be used for some nefarious purposes before all is said and done?

Music has always been for stupid people and this last 75 years where you could make money off of it was an abberation from history
We’re going back to the way things should be where humans are expendable and machinery is too expensive to risk breaking when all you lose in a cave in or whatever is a few dozen Irish
It’s way more humanizing to die on your feet than live on your knees like we do now

I will defend Coldplay to the death, especially their two masterpiece albums X&Y and Viva La Vida. Same for U2 with Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby. Radiohead with pretty much everything.
Nothing from Foo Fighters or RHCP compares to any of the albums I mention above.
ETA: Some Coldplay songs suck. I don't really like their newer stuff. U2 has mostly sucked since 2001. When I praise them, I am praising the best version of them from decade/s ago.
