No.
No!
No Drink.
There are several better options with higher ceilings. Dillingham. Brohm. Brent Key, etc. And some stud coordinators like Will Stein. Drink is a lazy uninspiring choice!
No!
Regards,
der clam

How do you know some of the "several better options" haven't turned the job down?
Posted on 11/13/25 at 5:12 pm to clamdip
Options ,how does anyone know if these coaches would leave their jobs and come here.you people act as if they will come running because of money ,that’s myopic thinking.A lot of LSU fans thinks LSU is the end all and be all it’s not,we’re not considered Elite by many around the country and many coaches. The bottom line is Verge and the commission have gaged the interest of the so-called TOPchoices but they can’t garuntee they would want to come here. They might not hire your choices but it will be someone wants to be here and has something to prove.

I do not want drink which means drink will be hired and I will hate my life

If someone can win consistently at a shite program like Missouri, you can win big at LSU

He didn’t win consistently against ranked SEC teams. In fact, I don’t think he won at all against ranked SEC teams.
He beat up on weak opponents.

How do we know these guys have higher ceilings?
This board criticizes Drinkwitz's record against ranked teams, but likes to talk about how tough the SEC is.
Then this board ridicules how weak the Big XII and ACC are, but is amazed by the mixed bag of results from Dillingham, Brohm, and Key.

What we do know is that Drink is not a good coach. He is a below average coach who has feasted on weak schedules and folds whenever he faces a talented team.

He beat North Carolina and South Carolina in the same season at Appalachian fricking state

Looks like someone has paid for a bot farm to shite on Drinkwitz now.

Like against Ohio State?
"Durr but Ohio State had opt-outs so they weren't talented anymore."

Would much rather take a flyer on a young guy if Drink is the only “name” that would consider coming.

Drinkwitz is paid around the 10th highest paid coach in college football. He almost certainly wants to be paid in the top 4 or 5 with guys like Kirby Smart and Ryan Day, lol. He will want that salary and buyout like those guys. No frickin’ way. He priced himself out of the market. Missouri did what they had to do I guess and were desperate. If he wanted half that you could make a case we could move on from him in 2 or 3 years if it doesn’t work out. You don’t give Drinkwitz Ryan Day’s money or buyout, lol.

You don’t pay Drinkwitz top 4 or 5 money. That reeks of desperation and LSU would be better off offering a top coordinator. Do the homework and find a better and younger coach.

Les Miles was a goofy retard but he never shirked expectations. This dude is out here complaining about annual playoff expectations, which verge mentioned as a marker in his press conference. Pretty hard no. Needs to stay where he’s at.

Les Miles was 28-21 at Oklahoma State.
He was hired at LSU because he was able to beat Oklahoma and once said “Let er rip” in a pregame interview.

We have no idea what is going on in terms of the search and how it's being conducted....or who are the true top candidates.
Only one guy on here even uttered Brian Kelly back in 2021....and no one took it all that seriously.

He hasn't won consistently.
2023 was good, 2024 was a decent record vs a trash schedule. Another weak schedule this year and they're already 6-3.
He has a win percentage of .620 at Mizzou, by comparison, BK had a win percentage of .709 here.
And we're going to go pay Drink $12 mil a year? Nuts.
