Dorkwitz is 0-15 since 2020 against SEC teams that finish with a winning conference record.

Against ranked teams
2020: 1-4, -97 point differential
2021: 0-3, -75 point differential
2022: 1-2, -35 point differential
2023: 3-2, +28 point differential
2024: 0-3, -69 point differential
2025: 0-3, -10 point differential
Total: 5-17, -258 point differential

Out of the five ranked wins he has during his tenure at Missouri…
beat LSU in 2020, who finished 5-5.
beat South Carolina in 2022, who finished 7-5.
beat Kansas State in 2023, who finished 8-4.
beat Kentucky in 2023, who finished 6-6.
beat Tennessee in 2023, who finished 8-4.

LSU fans should and hopefully will riot to the level that he knows he’s not welcome as our HC

I know Florida fans are planning to do that if the UAA tried to hire him

Apparently our boosters want him. The fans need to veto it

NEW: Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz pushes back on ‘playoff-or-bust’ mentality in college football:

"We gotta get out of this ‘Oh man, it’s playoffs or bust,' If the season only counts for 12 football teams, and we got 127 D1 football teams, that math’s not gonna math very well... There’s a whole heck of a lot to be proud of."

He would be a terrible hire. That's how I know that Philly guy posting has no sources. There's absolutely no way this guy is on LSU's list if they even objectively looked at him properly.

I don't know how this board believes what he says. He just threw the most low hanging fruit options possible that are tossed out everywhere. Slaps Saban in as well which doubly makes it laughable anyone believes it.

Yes, if it looks like we’re going to hire Drink, we air out any dirty laundry we can find on the guy, stir up public outrage and get that decision vetoed like A&M did for Stoops.

I’m not even joking. Drink cannot be our next HC. We’ll lose every big game we play in

Mizzou has severe talent deficiencies compared to the better teams in the SEC. You can't outcoach those deficiencies. What he does do that would translate well if he ended up being the coach is:

1) He hires good coordinators.
2) He makes good portal acquisitions (suggests he has a good eye for talent that gets overlooked)
3) His offenses are centered around running the ball
4) He understands the importance of recruiting. (First thing he did when he got to Mizzou was start trying to lock down St. Louis.)

He's tapped out Mizzou's potential. That program will never be a program that has winning records consistently against the top teams. I am not advocating for Drink to be the next HC. I think the price tag is too inflated, but if he ends up being our coach, I don't think he would be the bad hire that some are trying to portray he would be.

Philly said there are 2 coaches that absolutely will NOT get an offer: Drinkwitz and Sumrall….

There are 2 names I can definitively tell you will not be LSUs next head coach and that is Jon Sumrall and Eli Drinkwitz. I have it on good word LSU is not extending an offer to either.

Have you been paying any attention to the train wreck at LSU? We would be lucky if Drinkwitz even considered an offer from us.

Drinkwitz will not be the LSU coach. You have a better chance of saban taking the job.

Not happening.

Better starting looking at tier 2s because Kiffin is more likely to troll LSU into Janurary, take a page from Saban playbook, and directly weaken a SEC rivals coaching search to torpedo it, then stay.

I have many friends that said Indiana would never be very good at Football? Coaching matters more than region op

If Mizzou has a billionaire NIL supporter like Indiana has in Mark Cuban, then I agree.

You will get downvoted to oblivion but you aren’t wrong.

The longer the BK drama plays out the harder it will be to hire a top flight coach.

Especially is there is the perception (right or wrong) that LSU isn’t honoring its contractual obligations to former coaches

Drinkwitz isn't a top flight coach.

I’m not saying he is. But I am saying he’s the type of guy we may get stuck with due to the ongoing BK drama.

And it doesn’t even matter if LSU is wrong or not. If the perception is there that LSU is being underhanded in dealing with BK, it’s going to hurt the search for his replacement.

I’m old enough to remember when LSU hired a young coach out of Michigan State who had gone 34-24-1, lost 3 out of 4 bowl games, and finished ranked once.

How about we stop looking at prior results as indicative of future success and look for coaches with the best qualities. Hiring a home run hire just gets you another Brian Kelly.
