Cleopatra on Rome TV series

Finally got around to watching this series. I am at the end of season 1 so hang on to those spoilers a few days
Could they not have picked a actress to play Cleopatra that did not look like a 13 year old little boy?

The first Cleopatra episode was one of my favorites.
Cleopatra is trying to get pregnant and comes on to Lucius but he says no in order to stay faithful to his wet mop wife. Then they called Titus in there and of course he's like hell yea let's have a go. They have wild sex and Lucius can hear it from the tent. Titus comes back to the tent, lays down next to Lucius...
Tutus: Ahhh God that was something!
Lucius: Dont want to know! If you value your life you wont speak again!
Titus: I was only obeying orders, bloody good orders

She was a twenty year old greek woman. Probably doesn't look far off, though the haircut makes it look more masculine.

Roman historian Dio Cassius described Cleopatra as “a woman of surpassing beauty." That actress is attractive but not one to alter the course of history. Just be glad she is not black.

Yea, I just got through that episode. That was pretty good.
Titus is certainly one of my favorites in this show so far.

Interesting. From what I read, she was suppose to be 21 when Cassar hooked up with her. She looks very short of 21 at this point in the show.
When I think about a seductive beauty, that is not what I think about. She is manly or boyly and flat as a board

Not at this time they weren't. This was mid 2000's with some peak hot lead actresses.
Polly Walker was pretty for being in her 40's as the lead actress in this and had a nice pair they'd show off.
I always thought the Rome actress was a hot/spot on Cleopatra

I thought she was a great pick for Cleopatra. She had a sense of mystery and exoticness about her.

There have been dozens of Rome threads on here and she's always been considered sexy.
This is a weird thread applying standards 20 years later and reaching. Some people just have such a need for outrage they manufacture it out of thin air.

My reason for discussing this is honest. Sexy to some or not, she looked like a thin young boy. Not some kind of seductress.
She may grow on me as the series progresses but my first impression was honest.
On to season 2. Caesar dead as is the chick from GOT. I liked her much better in GOT. Like stated above, she was a shite character in this series.
