-19.5 point spread against a very competitive UNO squad tonight seems like an awful lot of points.

Thoughts?

Is McChicken still the coach? If so, then I know this game will be harder than it needs to be.

Meanwhile, Bama went on the road and beat a top 5 team. Sigh.

UNO was 4-27 last year, but didn’t they suspend 4 players last season for getting caught up in some gambling investigation?

They are obviously much better this year. Their win as +21.5 pt underdogs at TCU was impressive.

A step up from last game. What will LSU look like tonight. We shall see.

Kenpoms advanced metrics has the Tigers ranked 46.

Other notable non-con matchups:
Texas Tech (#14)
SMU (#49)
Boston College (#94)

We could and should be undefeated going into that three game non conference stretch.

I am sure there are a few former UNO players who can give you some insight about how to bet the -19.5

I'm excited to see how they look in game 2. I really liked the effort in the first game.

Looks like they have really good size for a mid-major. That always scares me. Two 6'2" senior guards who will play most of the game surrounded by 6'7" - 6'10" in starting lineup plus other 6'9" - 7'2" off the bench. Overall bigger than us except at the 2 spot.

Plus they are probably motivated to come to Baton Rouge and beat the state school after pulling a big upset.

19.5 is a lot of points especially since McMahon doesn't intentionally blow out opponents.

The last two seasons LSU has blown out their opening game opponent, only to then follow it up by playing horrible in the very next game (one of which was a loss to Nichols St). While this game will likely have little to no impact on LSU's ability to make the NCAA Tournament, it could serve as an early barometer as to whether things may be different this year, or if last game was just another opening game illusion.

If you want people to believe things are different...then do something different!!! Go out and dominate what should be an inferior opponent.

Yep. That's it. The close games against weak opponents are by design

What a gentleman!
