The Trump administration has provided no evidence for its assertions, and lawmakers, including Republicans, have pressed for more information on who is being targeted and the legal justification for the strikes.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Hegseth met with a bipartisan group of lawmakers who oversee national security issues last week, providing one of the first high-level glimpses into the legal rationale and strategy behind the strikes.

According to the law of armed conflict, they are certainly civilians. A Rubio memo doesn’t change that.

I just think it's wild he issues an executive order and can just now assassinate people at will that are nowhere near our country and not even delivering the drugs directly. But, yeah, I've heard it all -- Obama droned people, it's what we did to Al Qaeda, that's how we treat terrorists, blah, blah. Also, the policy is somewhat incoherent as the fent comes from China and Mexico.
