We might have something with Shough

I know it’s only two games in, but his pre and post snap reads are something we’ve been missing for a while. His pocket presence is impressive as hell (maybe I have just gotten used to Nussmeier retreating and rolling left into a sack at random).
And he’s looking damned good with hardly any talent around him. Im excited for the future and ready to get hurt again because we know how this goes for this franchise

Negative Hoss
The lucky squirrel finds its nut.
You still go draft, quarterback with the first pick

The lucky squirrel doesn’t usually make continual decisions that are correct. Shough did.
If we wind up with the first pick, I’d love to see us trade back for some assets and build inside-out and get him some weapons with gained assets.
Shough has me a believer.

Even if he didn’t look good, I still don’t want to waste a top pick on a qb.
This team needs talent. Especially on the edge and at corner.,

Before this game it was all potential and what did the staff see to draft him. Many "wtf" post.
Today showed me what it was CKM was seeing in him.

Not throwing him straight to the wolves was huge. Moore understands QBs so if he likes Shough there’s potential there.

We don't know for sure yet, obviously, but after 2 games he's certainly done nothing to think he's NOT future QB. He showed all the tools today. Every Saint fan should hope he's the guy!

Same. Unless there is just a stud QB in the draft that we have the opportunity the draft, I hope they build up the rest of the roster around the QB.

Sean drafts 7-8 QB’s and whiffs on every one. Moore’s first QB pick and it looks like he might have nailed it.

He has some great throws he can make across the field.
And he has the arm.
Give him a year to add more to his wheel house.
He could probably hit anywhere on the field.

i didn't see the game, so pre snap he made the right reads? checked out of play calls?
thats good news if he's doing that.

Line is beat up. no real TE, one above average W.O. and one above average running back.
Get back our center, r tackle, above average TE, Miller, good guard, and a #1 W.O.
It's long list but doable this offense could be really good next year.

The best thing to happen to this franchise would be for him to mature into a Top 20 starting QB. You can build and win with that.

Yes, and climbed in the pocket too. Some very Breeslike deep balls. Very, very encouraging.

Reserve judgement until after Christmas. But he did look good today.

Yes. It was impressive. Even his progressions to the check down were right. His hot reads were right (though a couple of times were off).
Pretty sure he checked out of a QB sneak to a weak side dive from Kamara on fourth down in a huge spot (execution was the issue that almost made it fail, his read was 10000000% right).
Shough seems like the real deal.

I like his process time and arm whip to get it there while the receiver is still open. He showed promise today and I saw some light for the first time in a long time flash on the distant horizon .
It made me want to watch the game with the Foulcons in two weeks

He was savvy in the pocket and made some nice passes while moving under pressure. He obviously needs max PT/reps through the remainder of the season. Would love to say he could be the guy in 26 and use our picks in the upcoming draft to address DE, WR & yes sadly OL, again.
