PIkes Peak 14,115 feet.

The drive up and down is butt puckering, but when you are above the clouds looking down it's amazing.

Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park. I think it's somewhere around 12000ft at the highest.

Blacked out on way down riding the train. The can of O2 did the trick.

Provo, UT. ~4000 feet above sea level.

Odd thing is I was always getting full quickly.

I've hiked ( never driven) up several 14's in SW Colorado . Handies Peak has a great view when the weather is good.

I have no interest in snow skiing.

Mt. Elbert 14,438.

No road but a pretty good climb. I’m thinking I’ll target 3-4 new 14ers in 2026.

Climbed Mount Bierstadt (14,065’) a few years ago.

It’s one of the shortest trails to the top of a 14er.

What I learned that day is shorter trails are not a good thing when it comes to climbing tall mountains

I guess Mount Blue Sky at 14,266’.

I’ve seen a lot of high mountains but haven’t climbed them. Fuji, Jungfrau, Grand Teton, Rainier, Elbert, Whitney, Matterhorn, Kilimanjaro, Denali, Lhotse, Everest, among others.

I took a 10mg oil capsule once. That’s the highest I’ve ever been.

Longs peak, 14,249 ft

Trailhead at 9374 feet, 4,875 feet elevation change, 15 mi total hike there and back

Ballbuster, especially for a flatlander South Louisiana boy

Summited on my 5th and final try over about 35 year stretch, with weather the limiting factor
