Those orange crush uniforms look so nice on my TV. They should bring it back for good.

The 90's ushered in an era of computer generated graphic designing rather than the actually artistic creativity of the previous decades. That led to a glut of newly minted graphic designers (because it didn't take much talent to be one) who had to justify their existence. They were able to sell franchise on the need for sleek, modern, "in-motion" looks/logos. That's why we got computer generated crap like this that all looked the same.

I agree. And now we're trapped in a sort of purgatory where we are tempted by the superior classics (Saints, Broncos, Seahawks, Bucs, Greatriots, Falcons, Giants, Dolphins, Eagles, Oilers) but only allowed to enjoy 2 or 3 times per year (and never in the heckin playoffs).

The jerseys were a little too "highlighter" orange, not quite the old school look, but overall I agree wholeheartedly.

Falcons should wear this every game.

I think what happened is the paints along with the TV clarity of the time gave the old uniforms a dated feel. But you bring them back with the more vibrant paints, threads, and HD TV quality and you can see the classic designs just look way better.

Call me tacky but I like the Falcons' 00's-2010's logo and uni's better than the current ones.

Actually the current Giants uniform is the classic. They switched to the GIANTS logo in 1976 and went back to NY in 2000

It’s hard to be boring and ugly but it’s the trend in modern NFL

I've been on a kick lately watching old episodes of This Week in Pro Football with Pat Summerall and Tom Brookshire from the 1973 and 1974 seasons. The Saints unis from back then are so superior to today's.

That’s the word

There was something a little "off" about it, but I noticed it more on CSPs sideline hoodie. The logo looked too big or too "new" or something. Hard to put into words.

Denver Broncos were 0-4 in Superbowls in the old uniforms

They had to try something.

It probably had more to do with the fact they ran into superior teams.

And Reeves being a moron:

quote:

The last year of the Reeves-Elway era were marked by feuding, due to Reeves taking on play-calling duties after ousting Elway's favorite offensive coordinator Mike Shanahan after the 1991 season, as well as Reeves drafting quarterback Tommy Maddox out of UCLA instead of going with a wide receiver to help Elway. Reeves was fired after the 1992 season and replaced by his protégé and friend Wade Phillips, who had been serving as the Broncos' defensive coordinator.[26][27][28] Phillips was fired after a mediocre 1994 season, in which management felt he lost control of the team.[29]

The old Broncos unis are the best in football. Other than the Who Dats.
