I would appreciate some recommendations for a divorce attorney, preferably in the Covington/Mandeville area. Forensic accounting of personal and business accounts may be involved. Found out last night wife may be leaving after 34 years:(

Sorry to hear. Do NOT be nice. She wont.

Protect any assets NOW. Don't wait till she files, its too late.

Get ruthless and devious. I mean every fricking thing. Move money to a person account etc

If she's been handling bills, she's been stealing, once she planned on leaving.

Take over all finances and steal steal steal.

Go to casino, cash in for $10000 in chips...leave w them and say you lost....turn back to cash later.

That kind of shite. Do it!

Then go file

serious advice, you've got to, starting right now, remove the emotions and treat this like a dissolution of a business agreement because that's pretty much what it is at this point, a lot won't seem fair, you will be asked to pay for more than your share, just remove yourself from the pettiness and let your attorney do the talkng, with your input beforehand of course

OP mentioned a forensic accountant already. They'll find all of it. It also sounds like his wife is the one with the business. If she's been planning this for a while (and she's smart,) she's probably loaded the business with debt to reduce the value of the payout OP would expect.

May want to create and post a throwaway email account rather than have names flying all over.
