Newsweek article, I don't understand where all the Brady hype is coming from I've never once heard him say he wanted to coach college ball. I would not be mad it's just funny I keep seeing this pop up all over the place

Why would LSU fans want a guy fired for $54 million to hire a first time coach in college?

I don't want Brady at all. That said there have been many first time college coaches who have ascended to the top. In fact every coach who has won a natty was once a first time college coach.

Who's had more run off such short lived fame/success? Hawk Tuah or Joe Brady?
Joe Brady hasn't done anything notable since 2019 that should put him even in the top 50 potential candidates.
Someone explain it. Even his NFL success isn't exactly too notable, certainly something we've seen from coaches before.

I haven’t seen many fans claim him to be their number one, but if that’s the route LSU goes then it’s hard to find a better option.

Holy shite.
You really think Joe Brady is the best possible option?
Goddam you guys are some insane. Absolutely mind blowing.

Why exactly? Because he coaches Josh Allen?

Golesh>>>Brady
Brady is a good coach and Offensive mind. But his success is tied to generational QBs. He has not proven he can build or even make an average QB play above themselves.

Wtf? What has Brady done to warrant this?
Get Golesh. $6M for 6 years. Invest a massive amount of the money saved into NIL each year.

The Joe Brady slander is pathetic
He made Joe Burrow and the 2019 offense legendary

Have you looked at the top coaches in CFB? Majority got their first time as HC from coordinator.
Not advocating for him but simply pointing out. Coordinators coming up have really been successful

Right. Hell he wasn't even a HC in college.
Hell he had Burrow, Chase, JJ, Helaire, Moss, Marshall.
Hell the plays he called should have worked with those guys running the plays

He has done a pretty good job at Buffalo since taking over for Ken Dorsey. They run the ball much more under Brady. They lead the NFL in rushing at the moment.

I said notable, "pretty good" could be applied to a large number of coaches in any given year. Its not a unique achievement at all, especially not enough to garner the mentions he gets on this board.

while I agree with the sentiment that LSU should not be a "learning ground" for young coaches, BK had a very impressive/proven/winning resume when hired. IE that resume does not guarantee anything in the future.
I am not opposed to hiring a younger guy. would really rather that he has some SEC experience on his resume though. Even if it was as a coordinator.
Having said all that, I am an LSU fan. Not a BK/O/Les/etc. fan.

Not true at all.
Fisher
Dabo
Kirby
Day
That's the list of first time HCs that have won Natty's over the last 25 years.

Reading isn’t your strong suit I see. The person I was responding to mentioned he had no head coaching experience. I responded with IF that’s the route they go, meaning a coordinator and not proven coach, his resume is going to be hard to beat.

It really is, what they are saying without realizing it is they think 2019 happens with Ensminger as well.
