A week in Boston

I’ve been to a lot of downtowns — NYC, Chicago, Boston, Houston, Dallas, Nashville, NOLA, Birmingham, Little Rock, Las Vegas, Charlotte, San Diego, Portland, Orlando — and honestly, Boston takes the top spot for me when it comes to feeling safe and clean.
I've spent some time around Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, wandered through the North End for Italian food, and explored the Seaport area. Everywhere I went felt clean, walkable, and really well-kept.
Lobster rolls are great (Saltie Girl). Steak places were overrated (Maestro's Ocean Club and Boston Chops - not my choice; attended work conference).
I've only seen 1 homeless person in downtown Boston. At no point have I ever felt unsafe. Police prescence is here, but not overwhelming.
YMMV.

Boston is an amazing city. There is a reason it’s so expensive.

Boston is awesome. But living in downtown will run you $3k a month for a studio and $800 for a parking spot if you want a car

And you didn’t even have the decency to say hello to Oldmanbeasley

Insane.
I recognized the moment I started exploring downtown that parking is a challenge --- and living here is very expensive.

You mustve somehow avoided Haymarket, North Station, South Station, and Bowdoin
take the blue line out towards Maverick and get back to us

I love Boston but this would be a rare especially around the common, theater district, etc.

I was there recently and saw more than one, but less than ten. Completely different than a New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, etc

I actually have, and not by choice. I have had enough to do (outside of work) in the areas I mentioned above.
I'm sure Boston has it areas, as you have mentioned. I do think the cold weather this week may have had an impact as well.

And Hyde Park, Mattapan, Roxbury, Dorchester.... Boston is great but like a lot of cities, one street over can make a huge difference on the type of people you'll encounter.

Glad you enjoyed yourself in our liberal shithole baw. Come back any time.

Went to Boston for the first time last month and it was awesome. Lots to do like any major city, but without the messiness like you spoke of. You can tell it’s extremely well kept.

Cleaner than New Orleans?

Many people, like most other states outside of the south, keep to themselves.
The amount of headphones and earphones present is real.
I haven't heard anyone talk politics. But spotting a woke liberal, for the most part, has been easy to do, just like anywhere else.

The areas I have visited, this is a resounding yes.
For one, it doesn't smell like piss.

New Orleans is a very high bar when it comes to cleanliness
