This is the way food subsidies should work. Calorie and nutrition sufficient bland and cheap foods should be the only things they can buy with SNAP.

Then how would the large food conglomerates get their government-provided payments? Soda companies in particular are some of the largest beneficiaries of SNAP. Do you want Coca-cola and YUM! Brands to starve?

Some volunteers for Sal Army are seeing folks come in and demand food as they have a high end bag and top of the line iphone. They think they should live like a Kardashian.
How about skipping your mani/pedi and someone tell white trash Tammy; and LeKeisha to get off their fat asses and close their legs if they can't afford childcare to work.

I’m all for food benefit recipients going to specific distribution locations to pick up rice, beans, canned vegetables and other basic common staples every month instead of getting a card of with cash to buy garbage.
As far as this ungrateful person, if the charity of others isn’t to your liking then GET A frickING JOB.

That's not a month's worth of food. Not for 2 people, let alone a 'family'.
So there's that.
But there's some decent basics there for some good meals. Problem is, she doesn't cook (I'm guessing) and can't figure out what to do with some of those items.

how would Karen's and WT, BT, Tammy's survive the depression? where sugar was a treat and red beans and rice was a now popular dish. adding andouille or kielbasa in the red beans and rice was a treat.
