So Verge got demoted?

I’m trying to keep up with what’s going on. Sounds like either the governor or some boosters did not like the hire so they pressured Rousse into backtracking and now he’s simply “acting” AD and may or may not become the permanent AD. If there’s a thread I missed that explains it all, please link it below. Thanks.

Verge is going to make a hire so big that it’s almost like the to be coach will be more powerful than the AD and will transition full time to that role

My impression is that they technically can’t make him permanent AD, but the decision is made.
The new president botched the announcement and then botched his attempt to clarify.
So it is a bad hire followed by poor communication followed by more poor communication.

Yeah I've said enough about why the State ranks among the worst in just about every measurable respect and I got attacked by Landry's mob. None of my children went or are going to LSU, or any university in that state for that matter. There's a reason why LSU has such strong representation out of State, but you know what? shite like this makes me ashamed to wear purple and gold, and I'm not the only one to think this. Lose a game? No problem. Show the world your arse? That's another.

Would not surprise me if all of a sudden prior to us naming the Head Coach we hire another AD just to drive home how retarded we are.
