Yep different days of LSU football. You could pull up to campus an hour before the game, park right next to the stadium, break out a box of Popeyes chicken for the tailgate, throw the football in the parking lot for 30 min, then go into the game and watch LSU play. Crazy what the whole thing became since 2000.

Plan? I have never not been able get tickets to LSU basketball and I have been going to games since the early 80’s.

I was at school at that time too. It was bad. It was bad. For those on here who don't know how bad it was, here is one example. In 1991 we played Vandy at home. I was in the student section. We were up by 2 with about 1:00 left and Vandy had the ball inside our 10. All they needed was a FG to win. They were letting the clock run and just running up the middle. On 3rd down they ran it again and was met at the line of scrimmage at the 1 by an LSU defender, they fumbled and we returned it past midfield. I thought the student section was going to storm the field. That's how bad it was.

As a student, I had to sleep in a tent on the southeast ramp of the P-Mac for 4 nights to go see LSU and Shaq vs Duke and Laettner. Yes, we had to plan. And baseball regionals weren't easy to come by either.

It was 90K a year actually, but there were additional monies given to him.....around 150K a year extra.
I was at the Auburn game in 1994 on the sidelines just away from the team. I always felt for Hallman that game. Because the passes were not his call. Lynn Amedee was calling those plays. After the first pick 6 Hallman told Amedee " Don't fricking throw, we got this game" Amedee ignored him.
I remember Phil Bennett after the game just dumbstruck......"what the frick?????" He would not talk to Amedee for weeks after that. Hallman knew it was over that night.
