Why would the Muslims/Left not demand the Statue of Liberty to come down?

I mean it’s literally a statue of a white woman proclaiming herself the symbol of liberty.
How can that be?
Doesn’t seem to be very inclusive nor an accurate representation of the current demographic. Almost seems symbolic of white supremacy. This can not stand.
When do they demand it be taken down?

You don’t think that with 20 years + of whitey bad that it’s out of the realm of thinking that some of your new fellow citizens don’t want a statue of a white woman looking over them?
I mean the statue in and of itself is a symbol of white colonialism. Conquered the land and took it by force.
I see this as a very real argument to be made if they are being consistent with their beliefs.

If they could, they would try. It represents freedom to normal people, but to Progressives/Communists, it represents colonialism/white power. That said, it would be a bridge too far to try taking it down.

It's a Muslim woman. It was designed for the Straights of Gibralter. It never went into construction due to costs. It was later picked up for Liberty and all they did was get rid of her headdress.

When Italians were immigrating here, they were subject to prejudice and discrimination, similar to how modern day immigrants are now. They were called derogatory names and scapegoated.
But now they are a wonderful part of our country.
