hopefully this will shed some light on that all-too-little covered and understood issue of anti-Semitism.

Amazon prime has a 1947 Russian hour long documentary with English commentary that is interesting

When it comes to a streaming service. I’ve read the book.
And the actual transcripts.
And seen the Alec Baldwin version which is based on some of the material this movie is based on.
Spoilers!
They all die at the end.
Well the bad ones do.
The ones that lie good write books.
Good books.

My father in law was a guard during the trials. He met and had interactions with Hermann Göring, and Rudolph Hess, among others.

Was he the one who smuggled the cyanide capsule into Göring’s cell?

No, but I asked for his views on that. He really didn't have much new info.
However, on the other side of the world, my dad did have some interesting eyewitness info about Butch O'Hare's last flight.

That’s crazy. What did he have to say?

My father in law passed away in early 2020. He never saw action during the war, but was shipped overseas just in time to be a guard at Nuremberg.
The conversations I had with him about his guard duty were probably around 2008.
His main function was to be a guard in the courtroom. I've forgotten a lot of what we talked about, because it was nothing we haven't all heard or read about before, but what did strike me was that he believed the theory about a woman convincing a guard to smuggle the cyanide capsule into the facility via a pen. He really wasn't completely sure, but that was the scuttle butt.
He did say that the prisoners were all pretty well behaved during their captivity. Officers to the end.

That’s interesting. That’s the Herbert Lee Stivers story.
Your father in law participated in a monumental moment in history.
Pretty cool.
